Brooklyn's Smith Street celebrated Bastille Day 2009 with the nation's largest petanque tournament, perfect weather, the delightful musical stylings of Michael Aranella & His Dreamland Orchestra and what must have been some kind of record for open-air Lillet and Ricard drinking. Or maybe it was just a personal record for us. Vive la France!
