The Campbell Apartment
Spotted: Nate and Serena getting hot and heavy after a wedding at the Campbell Apartment while Chuck watches their drunken transgression against Blair from the balcony above.
American financier and railroad magnate John W. Campbell would be blushing if he knew what was taking place in his former 1920s office and salon tucked away in Grand Central—although in reality, it’s mostly innocent cocktails and business talk, as the 3,500-square-foot space has been converted into a dimly lit, palatial bar. Today, it fills mostly with suited professionals who work nearby and Metro North commuters looking for respite from the main terminal. Linger by the bar or relocate closer to the immense stone fireplace where you can drink Prohibition-style cocktails like the Vanderbilt Punch or Oxford Swizzle.
