Spotted: Serena downing dry martinis at the futuristic, glowing purple bar at Gilt in the Palace Hotel, where the van der Woodsens have taken up temporary residence while mom Lily redecorates their Park Avenue apartment.

There to interrupt her vodka-infused wallowing over her guilt (props to the writers’ symbolic word play) at having betrayed her best friend, Chuck Bass (whose father owns the hotel), whisks S. to the kitchen for a decadent grilled Fontina-cheese and white truffle sandwich, served by Executive Chef Christopher Lee himself.

Though an older, well-heeled clientele has traditionally populated the gilded restaurant, lately a gaggle of young GG devotees has descended upon the bar for cocktails and over 40 wines by the glass.

Also available is S’s infamous grilled cheese that—due to popular demand—has been permanently added to the menu for the bargain price of $50.
