Hooray, Prohibition ended 75 years ago!

The speakeasy-style West Village bar and restaurant threw its raucous Repeal Day party on Dec. 1, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the end of Prohibition, with burlesque, cake, bar-top dancing and gallons of smart cocktails. Plus everyone had such a swell time that this semi-fake holiday should be propelled past your sloppy Cinco de Mayos and your St. Patrick's Days into the realm of Official Holiday-dom. So let this serve as your inspiration, because the rest of the Repeal Day parties are going down on actual Repeal Day, which is this Friday, Dec. 5. Stay wet.
