One night in Dumbo: Sidewalk margaritas, bar children and terrifying art
Last Wednesday, on our most recent round of gonzo journalism/bar-hopping, we made the rounds to pretty much every drinking establishment in Dumbo, that strange and lovely Brooklyn neighborhood of quiet industrial space, austere boutiques and woodworking warehouses. What did we find? Calm, cheerful drinkers everywhere, as well as lots of beer, lots of dogs and a ridiculously good version of "Video Killed the Radio Star" in Spanish. Seriously.
