Mermaids, admirals and gorgeous sea monsters partied in the shadow of the Verrazano Bridge
Guests came from around the country to take part in the third annual Dances of Vice festival last weekend—Dances of Vice being, in a nutshell, the gorgeously over-the-top costume parties that happen roughly once a month in NYC. The theme of this year's festival was "Shipwreck," and, appropriately, hundreds of mermaids, admirals, pirates and gorgeous sea monsters partied until the wee hours at Saturday's Grand Shipwreck Ball at Brooklyn's Fort Hamilton Officers Club, in the salty shadow of the Verrazano Bridge. And if you like the way this looks, sign up for the Dances of Vice newsletter for future events, which're all just as nuts as this one.
Also, where can we get some of them ship hats? Aha! Right here at Hey Sailor, the premiere source for ship-themed millinery.
