Dances of Vice takes a trip to Zurich for a night of DADA-tastic festivities
Dada may have originated in Zurich, but Saturday night at Don Hill's felt a lot like Berlin. Berlin with very elaborate costumes! In spite of a two-hour delay, this party will go down in the ledgers as one of the best parties we've ever been to. Best! BudZillus, an avant-garde cabaret-punk band from Berlin, playing their first shows ever in NYC. D of V would not be the same without a burlesque interlude, and Medianoche, The Flying Fox and Ms. Tickle all brought appropriately Dada-inspired performances. Muffinhead the Exclamationist and Trina Rose performed a number that combined flavors of Gary Numan, Kanye and Dada mixed in.
