Edible hosted a small-batch booze blowout with restaurants Lani Kai, Northern Spy Food Company (pictured) and Ft. Defiance
We've got much respect for our friends at Edible Manhattan. You guys throw very, very fun and exciting events. And by exciting, we don't only mean the table after table of snacks from some of our favorite neighborhood restaurants like Lani Kai, Ft. Defiance, Palo Santo, Fette Sau and Northern Spy Food Co. We were most psyched to talk shop (drink shop too) with a number of passionate spirits producers. Tuthilltown Spirits' Gable Erenzo was damn near ecstatic in telling us about a third still being installed this week. That means more Hudson Valley rye for the region. A rep for Death's Door spoke about a big-deal ice fishing tournament hitting Madison, Wisc.—as well as their smooth red winter wheat vodka. Like the pages of Edible, each table told a story of the little guy doing big, bold things. We always pull for the little guy. —Matt Rodbard
