An ice cream social, enhanced by booze and Latin-rock flavor
Do whiskey, ice cream and jam bands mix? Ben & Jerry's thinks so. The ice cream mavens introduced their new flavor, Bonnaroo Buzz, at the Bowery Ballroom on Monday night, as part of a kickoff to this summer's Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee (which, admittedly, has outgrown its jammy past and into something far more diverse). The new B&J flavor, a mix of light coffee and malt ice creams with a whiskey caramel swirl and English toffee pieces (SO GOOD), was served up with a big heaping of open bar and the Latin-rock grooves of Ozomatli. Miss the fun? You'll have to travel to the music fest (or a local B&J store) to sample the goods. —Kirk Miller
