With so many bars trending toward gargantuan—massive meat market clubs, sprawling corporate pubs that lose character with every square foot—we'd like to recognize the city's small-scale drinking establishments, places where turning around is a challenge. (Kind of like the Tiny House in that Geico commercial we so wished was real.)
