We might have missed the first 15 of these Brooklyn Cocktail Pop-Ups, but we're glad we made it out to 1#6 last night.Max Messier and the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (WTF... geddit?) crew took over Brooklyn Bead Box on Smith Street in Carroll Gardens last night and mixed up Ron Zacapa and Evan Williams cocktails with all kinds of homemade goodness.
We asked Max which cocktail he liked the best he answered with this,"Well, the bourbon cocktail is more vegetal and the rum is more exotic." So we had both. We kept hearing about his homemade Harvest Festival Vermouth (moscato with crispin apples and bosc pears and ginger and something else and something else) and his honeydew syrup and his homemade bitters. And then he pulled out the scotch. Now if someone could please make the room stop spinning, we'd really appreciate it!
