Looks good but looks can be deceiving - met a group of friends here for happy hour and we were very disappointed. The drinks seemed watered down and the staff was distracted. Food was over priced for what you got and the quality was lacking. The crowd was young and loud and not in a good way - in NYC with so many great places this is just not worth your time or your money. Go elsewhere.

The Living Room has easily become one of my favorite music venues to go to. Being from New Jersey, traveling to NYC is a little bit of a pain but to come to The Living Room makes it all worth it. If you like driving into NYC it's extremely easy. There is a cheap parking garage right down the street! And it's only 10 minutes from the Holland Tunnel. There are plenty of places to grab a quick bite to eat before heading in. I'm not a big drinker but, buying drinks for my girlfriend was amazing because I didn't even have to break my backup $50 bill!

it could have been better. it was a bit over crowded. the DRINKS are OVER PRICED!! the DJ was ok (he played a little of everything)! the coat check ($3) was much needed. the restrooms weren't kept up thou!!

my LES bar-hopping boyfriend & I went here. it was my first time, but i really enjoyed myself. the DRINK menu is priced VERY REASONABLY. they even hand out coupons (EX: buy one get one FREE) before you enter the club! the drinks were GREAT (i recommend the FACE PUNCHES)...and when the lady/man comes around with the shot tubes ($3) accept them. the DJ played good music (mainstream POP, alternative)!! there is a seating situation towards the front of the club across from the bar & a dance floor (that i NEVER made it too) in the rear of the club. TRY IT!!

i went here about three weeks back on a FRIDAY night with my LES bar-hopping boyfriend. it was my first time, but i really enjoyed it!! we partied in the lower level of the two floor club. the DJ kept the hits (urban, hip-hop, reggae, rap) coming one after one. our bartender LIZ was great. she made good drinks & was extremly friendly. the HOOKAH menu had VARIETY & was very reasonable on the price!! the coat check made things easier (@ $2 a coat you can't go wrong) because it was HOT down there. HOWEVER THE ONLY THING I SAY THEY COULD FIX...would be the space. they get so much business it became quite crowded downstairs!! ALL IN ALL a great night!!

SHADY place run by SHADY people. Would never go here again. I would rather hang out at McDonald's then come here. Horrible group of people who run the place. I was warned of the shady business practices this place does and I should have listened. Also nothing special as far as a bar goes, I'm not from the area, but I've been to few around there that are better and I'm sure there are tons of others in the area that are better. Did not eat here thank god, some of the other reviews says the food is god awful and after my experience seeing what kind of people who work there I could believe it. Some other reviews said there is no people there, after being there myself I can understand why, I guess people in the area know better now.

If you’re looking for a place to just relax after work and have a drink or two, this is the place to be. The vibe you get from the entire place, from people and ambiance, is just cool. The free live music is a plus too.

Sometimes I really hate the LES because there are way too many bars and too many drunk people stumbling around. But this place is totally chill, the bartenders are awesome and there was free live music in the back room! It definitely makes it worth it to brave going to LES on a Fri or Sat night.

A great place to begin your night out. Live music and cheap drinks. They do have a drink minimum for the music, but there is usually no cover. Totally worth it!

I was here a couple of weeks ago when Glen Hansard performed. I was very excited about his set, though I've never been to The Living Room before, it was one of the best shows I've seen. Everyone there was super excited and Glen Hansard particularly good. He even had a surprise guest...it was BONO!! I wanted to write a review of the Living Room because I had a chance to return to check out a local band and simply love this place. Too many great things! From the warm, relax atmosphere, the friendly staff, the cheap drinks, and they also have a photo booth! For anyone looking for a nice place to listen to local bands (sometimes with a surprise guest!) this is THE place!

Among the many choices for music/drinks in the city, The Living Room has quickly climbed to the top of my list. Each time I go there I am more impressed. They seem to have a way of finding local music that’s ACTUALLY really good, and the cheap drinks totally seal the deal. One of the best spots around.

Had a great time with my date here at the club. Will remain forever in my mind. The ambiance was very classy and the entertainment was outstanding. Great date night or even with friend which I visited again later on.You have to try their appetizers and desserts not to mention their cocktail drinks are out of this world. This club is a true hit.

Showed up on Memorial Day, and the lanes were less than HALF full. Was told by person at the front desk there would be a 45 minute wait (WHY?). Went to kill time in the lounge and was told by bartender that we couldn't get drinks directly from him at the bar, since he didn't have cash drawer (WTF?). Waited in lounge 25 minutes and was NEVER waited on. We left.

Me and my friends didn't know what to do on the last weekend. Most of the time, we're going out at bar or club we use to go and we feel that we need something new! We had a look on FrenchCultureGuide.com / Category Nightlife and we've found some great events with different atmosphere! We will definitively check this website to know where to go for the next weekends!
