There aren't a lot of places in New York where you can lay down a $20, watch a bevy of buxom beauties in pasties, knock back a cocktails or two and even get some change to tip the talent. But you can at Slipper Room, something of a LES anomaly, where burlesque shows (and supplementary people-watching) cost just $5 cover every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The low-lit venue takes up a relatively large space, ringed by sizable red booths and a horseshoe bar, but if you want a seat up close to the stage, arrive early. Burlesque put Slipper Room on the map, but regular trivia and comedy shows also dot the calendar.
