Waiting for a table at West Village favorite dell'anima? The owners of the perpetually mobbed spot decided that their patrons deserved something nicer than the curb, so they opened this 50-seat wine bar a few doors down. The sleek leather banquettes, marble bar and silver stools make the wait fly by, as does the wine list. The bar eschews a geographically targeted list for one focused on biodynamic and organic wines produced in any region. They also favor vinos that were aged in anfora—that's right, it's not just a trendy nonsense word; the spot's moniker is a type of clay urn used to house wine. The spot offers a small menu of wine friendly nibbles like panini, sliders and hunks of cheese. Why not skip out on your resy down the block and stay for another bottle?
