Jemima Kirke, right, plays free-spirited newlywed Jessa. In reality, she's married, with two kids. "I used to be like her. There was a point in my life where I decided I needed to grow up. But there was a point a few years ago when I was like her. Sometimes I cringe and think, what an idiot. Because I did that stuff. I did it," she says. Kirke is a painter and views acting as a side gig, not her calling. "Do I feel like an actor? I feel like I'm doing my job," she says. With a toddler daughter and an infant son, Kirke is figuring out how to balance her growing family and 'Girls.' "Like everything, it will have to work itself out. Lena and everyone, they're generous with me. Not just because I have two kids, but because I have another things that I do. They're really nice about my hours. I still do paint. I have a studio at home -- it's in the basement and they don't know I'm there. With two kids, I need to be at home. I basically imagine that I am going to work and will be back at five," she says.
