It was all glitz, glam and paper as "Mad Men's" Bryan Batt and actress Rose McGowan played host at the Museum of Arts and Design's "MAD Paperball." A celebration of the museum's one year "paper" anniversary, the benefit gala brought out the top designers, models and fashionistas wearing some truly inspired paper-themed creations. Museum Director Holly Hotchner looked fabulous a in black Millegrue dress designed from one thousand folded paper cranes by trendy architect Stephanie Goto, while socialite Fabiola Beracasa flaunted cascading roses fashioned from newspaper.

A gracious host, actor Bryan Batt was clearly enjoying himself, but he could not reveal if we will see his long-suffering character Sal again on the 1960s-themed television mega hit "Mad Men." Rose McGowan, meanwhile, was dazzling everyone in a red and black ensemble. The energy was kinetic and celebratory, which DJ Paul Sevigny helped by keeping the party going until midnight.

"MAD Paperball" was timed for the museum's exhibition "Slash: Paper Under the Knife" which features the work of over 50 contemporary artists who literally burn, tear and shred paper to create their art. Holly Hotchner tells "Museum Beat" that not only is MAD a "new kind of museum experience and a true cultural hub" where you get to interact with the artists, but "Slash" shows the creativity possible by "using the most humble material found throughout the world." The results are a must see this season.
