It's not easy working with pasties, you know? The School of Burlesque, under the tutelege of Jo Weldon (voted the "Best Bump n Grinder" 2005 New York Burlesque Festival), offers up a number of speciality classes for pin-up and go-go wannabes. Some of our favorites: "Hula Hooping into Burlesque" and "Your Fine Feathered Friends: The Classic Fan Dance". Student showcases usually take place at the Slipper Room, while Thursday night's "Flirting With Burlesque" class (beginners welcome!) is held at 440 Studios in Greenwich Village.
