Jo Boobs
Hometown: New York City
One of the Big Apple's most recognizable names, Jo Boobs (a.k.a. Jo Weldon), New York City School of Burlesque founder and headmistress, did her first ostrich feather fan dance in the early '90s during the Battle of the Cheetah Girls at the strip joint Cheetah in Atlanta. Today, she's known for classic-inspired styles based on legendary performers like Honey Harlow, Candy Barr and Sherry Britton, as well as some offbeat pieces (like her Godzilla-inspired bit). In her signature routine, Boobs ties herself into a shibari harness to the tune of Prince's "International Lover."
