Just four years since she took her first burlesque class in Los Angeles, Lux LaCroix's fun, ultra-modern burlesque style almost won her the top slot in the most recent Miss Exotic World USA competition, the VIP of beauty pageants in the burlesque community (she was first runner up to Angie Pontani). The secret to her success? A professional dance background and with a very sarcastic sense of humor. "The combination of the two often results in a humorous and entertaining presentation, if all goes well," Lux says. And since Lux comes from a mixed-racial background, she also enjoys exploring racial issues and stereotypes in her choreography.
