Brooklyn-based burlesque up-and-comer Pookie Patootie's performance style ranges from sketch-oriented comedic narratives to classically inspired pieces. "Quite a few of my acts portray a comedy sketch or a story and have a beginning, middle and end," she says. "For example, I perform an act about a Vegas showgirl who's become jaded with the glitz of the strip. Another example is an act I perform as a zealous bride."
