Haunted Houses in NYC

Forget haunted houses with moaning soundtracks and peeled-grape eyeballs—New York City takes its haunted houses dead seriously. So much so that choosing among them can be a horrifying and murderously difficult task. But don't be afraid, we've made it a little easier on you: Below you'll find a freakishly helpful list of the city's haunted houses, ranked from guaranteed-nightmare-inducing (first) to just-a-bit-spooky and kid- or coward-friendly (last). Happy Halloweening!
