April: We're mad for Mad Hatters at the Easter Day Parade
While many of us will take some time out to square up with higher powers (Passover starts on April 6, and April 8 is Easter Sunday), lesser godheads like A-Rod will ask of your faith once again as the Yankees open their 2012 season (TBD) and begin the quest for World Series glory. Oh, and the Mets kick off their season, too.
And for fanatics of a different sort, Easter goes on the 'roids with the annual Easter Day Parade (April 8). Mad hatters, this is you chance to don your wildest bonnet, so don't hold back: make Isabella Blow proud and go with verticality, bows and colors.
Other highlights: Cinephiles should schedule their comp days between April 18 and 29 for the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival...while those who love Mama Earth (or at least are cool with icebergs) can check out the many eco-events going down for Earth Day New York (April 22). And don't forget Scotland Week (April 10-14) and the NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall (April 26–28).
