THURSDAY (Jan. 12): The Day the Music Died Party at The Bell House
It seems much of the cabaret one finds dwells on the “flapper” era, full of love for the Lindy and those crazy, jazzy days—which is all well and good—but moving the theme of burlesque toward other times could be a nice change. If this is a theory you subscribe to, tonight’s performance and music is focused on the 1950s and 1960s—allowing for an exploration of civil rights movements and cultural milestones one might find back during those Buddy Holly days.
