Fashion Week and the fashionable people can far too often place an emphasis on never being young enough or thin enough, but what about "old enough?" Last night some truly grown up women and their fabulous fashion sense were celebrated at the Advanced Style party thrown by Ari Seth Cohen (the eponymous Advanced Style blogger) and fashion wunderkind, Tavi Gevinson of The Style Rookie, at the Ace Hotel.
The inimitable Iris Apfel was there, as well as The Idiosyncratic Fashionistas who were offering "Fashion Help" for a nickel. A decidedly high brow selection of intellectual fashionistas, we even spotted Ira Glass host of "This American Life." It's lovely to see fashion embracing who and what has come before and respecting its elders (and betters)!
