A backstage tour of the RSC at the Park Avenue Armory
The blue-chip theater ticket of Gotham's summer isn't “Spider-Man” or “The Book of Mormon”. The king of the New York heat wave is Will Shakespeare, whose Royal Shakespeare Company (or RSC) is selling out nightly in a residency at the Park Avenue Armory, from July 6-August 14. A marvelous feat of engineering and acting, the RSC’s New York residency is not to be missed. And thanks to Lincoln Center's $25 rush tickets, locals can score afforable tickets to every performance. Here’s a backstage look at how the theater event of the summer became a reality.
