A backstage tour of the RSC at the Park Avenue Armory
This photograph looks from the backstage area towards the audience. The stage thrusts out into the house, as the original Globe did in the 17th century, to bring the action closer to the viewer. No seat is more than about fifty feet from the stage—and there are nearly a thousand places to sit.
