America’s best Fourth of July fireworks

Why it’s the best: Now going strong for 85 years, Americafest may be one of the oldest traditions in Los Angeles, and certainly one of the most festive, claiming to feature the biggest fireworks show in all of Southern California. Fireworks start at 9:05 p.m., preceded by a performance from Drake Bell of Nickelodeon’s “Josh and Drake,” because no event is allowed to transpire in Los Angeles without at least one celebrity present.
