Bark in the Park
What could be better than taking in a baseball game on the Coney Island boardwalk, grabbing a box of hot dogs and beer and having your dog by your side on the bleachers? Nothing! Last night the Brooklyn Cyclones hosted their fourth annual "Bark in the Park" event, inviting dog owners to the game with their furry friends. The Mayor's Alliance for NYC Animals with Maddie's Fund and the North Shore Animal League hosted an "Adopt a Mutt" event outside MCU Park, and there were lots of excited bow wows ready to find forever homes.
In the ballpark, dogs and their people took home "doggie bags" full of treats and other goodies from TD Bank, as they settled in for an exciting evening of baseball. We even spotted a couple of canine celebrities from WNYC's reality series, "Doggie Moms!"
