Toasting Metromix's own Josh Bernstein at his book release party at the City Reliquary
Our very own Joshua Bernstein is all growed up! Last night Metromix dropped by the City Reliquary to celebrate the release of Joshua M. Bernstein's "Brewed Awakening: The Beers and Brewers Leading the Craft Beer Revolution." Metromix may know and love Mr. Bernstein as a seeker-and-finder of Dollar Grub, all around great guy, food adventurer and consumer of cheap, fried dough products, but most know him for his knowledge of all things beer. (Does beer have it's own "-ology"? Because if it does, Josh should totally be a professor of that.) We're also psyched to report that we scored a hard-to-get photo of the Dollar Grub team together, since Sam Horine is always sneakily behind the camera.
Guests enjoyed a fine selection of things hot off the grill, Frankie's salumi and an even finer selection of hard-to-find beers. We totally meant to buy a copy of the book and have Josh sign it for us at the party, but we were too engrossed with sampling (and sampling and sampling) Brooklyn Brewery's incredible Sorachi Ace and trying to get a keg stand going on Kelso Brewery's keg of IPA. So we're going to have to take care of that today...
