Cartoon crazy! Vintage 'toons dance up a storm at the Ace Hotel.
Dances of Vice continues to "go steady" with the Ace Hotel for their second Liberty Hall party this weekend, the Powerhouse Stomp. This one was inspired by classic 'toons and tunes from the 1920s, '30s and '40s. Guests braved the wind that could have blown them away like cartoon characters and came as their favorite vintage 'toons. We spotted some Betty Boops, a Loony Tunes Little Red Riding Hood and her Big Bad Wolf, Foghorn Leghorn, and more than a few Minnie Mouses (Minnie Mice? We don't know!).
The dancefloor was jumping, as people took the "stomp" in Powerhouse Stomp to heart. Brian Carpenter's Ghost Train Orchestra provided the music, when DJ Miz Margo was off duty, and interactive artist Molly Crabapple was on hand with a roll of paper and a fistful of markers creating a mural for the party. --Gabi Porter
