The 2010 Jazz Age Lawn Party
Governors Island flashed back to the '20s and '30s this weekend with an old-fashioned Jazz Age Lawn Party bash. Michael Arnella and his Dreamland Orchestra provided the timely tunes, while retro revelers sipped St.Germain cocktails and Brooklyn Brewery beer. Charleston dance lessons, a bathing beauties (and beaus!) promenade, a tug o'war game, chic hat parade and even an pie-making contest kept the vintage vibe afloat. Missed this Gatsby gathering?
