Kostume Kult: Horned Ball #7, The Road to Valhalla
Thor's Hammer dropped with a mighty thud on Santos Party House last night, as the Kostume Kult took over the premises with a savage Viking invasion for their seventh Horned Ball, their now mythical Burning Man fundraiser. The club was tricked out like Odin's banquet hall with a slightly different soundtrack. Did the Vikings invent dubstep? We're not sure.
Party goers sprouted horns from their heads, painted their bodies and took most of their clothes off and danced the night away to a collective of DJ's who would be right at home on the Playa. For the timid costume-less newbies and the craft deficient, after gaining some liquid courage at the bar to spruce up their everyday wear, horns were available for purchase at Santos as well as some swanky airbrushed body painting.
We spotted several Norse God wannabes wielding thunder and dancing erratically on their way to Valhalla with Viking warriors, and more than one exotic unicorn...as well as some space age alien horned creatures who decided to create their own theme for the night.
