Love Contemporary Magazine Launch | Ivana Helsinki Pop-Up Store
New York's had its share of pop-up stores, but few feel like, as our photographer stated, "Art Basel Miami in a snow storm." Last night's IVANAhelsinki and Love Contemporary Pop-Up Store launch on Mulberry Street boasted not only designer Paola Suhonen's IVANAhelsinki clothes, but the New York launch of Love Contemporary magazine, where she is the art director. Yay, synergy!
Officially debuting in Art Basel Miami, the magazine explores all things related to—you got it—contemporary love; a fitting subject for Paola, whose clothes are fun and contemporary. The magazine even extends to a blog and online toy shop (wink, wink). Of course, a party won't be a party without some tunes, and Erika Forster from Au Revoir Simone DJed the evening, and Alexa Wilding hopped aboard to give a special musical performance.
