NY ComicCon 2009
After spending three days at the Javits Center, we can say one thing about the New York ComicCon 2009: it was packed. The convention, held Feb. 6-8, was filled the requisite thousands of comic fans, sci-fi lovers, Trekkies and Dr. Who fans. Anyone doubting the raw power of the geek industry needs to witness this.
The floor of the Con featured vendors from around the Tr-State area, as well as the usual collection of writers, artists, B-level stars of yore and geek-friendly memorabilia. Looking, for some reason, for a vintage Space 1999 lunch box? It was there? YATTERMAN toys? They got 'em. Need that last issue of The Micronauts.? Check Booth# 2427.
While we hit up several of the panels, most of the time we just walked the floor. Here's a look at what you missed...and what you can catch the next time, come October 2010.
