Oh! You Pretty Things: Best of Bowie | Le Poisson Rouge
The pretty things put on their pretty clothes last night, painted sparkly lightning bolts across their pretty faces, pulled on platform boots and headed out the door to Le Poisson Rouge for a celebration of David Bowie's birthday. Ziggy Stardust himself stayed home, but his doppelgangers and fans were everywhere.
Co-birthday celebrants, the fabulous tuxedo-and-stilettos clad Michael T and Benjamin Ickies –who brought his Ambitious Orchestra –channeled a little astrological "Life On Mars," and performed Bowie songs until almost dawn. We love that this was the suggested dress code: Classic Bowie, Weimar Decadence, Victorian, Futuristic Dandy, ‘70s Coke Chic...(although we think that some guests might have gotten the words "Bowie" and "boa" mixed up!). Happy birthday to all the Pretty Things! SEE COMPLETE GALLERY
