Photos: A Streetcare Named Desire
Super-talent Cate Blanchett returns to BAM in a classic role: Blanche DuBois, the tragic heroine who "always depended on the kindness of strangers." The advance word is that this production (directed by Norwegian Liv Ullmann, an actress who's Blanchett's equal) is more of an emotional freight train than a streetcar. This limited run is not to be missed.
