Oh Woof!
As New York City gears up to be taken over by dogs on Monday at the Westminster Dog Show, the pooches already started arriving at the Hotel Pennsylvania across from Madison Square Garden and all the main event action. This weekend people who like to dress up their dogs had the chance to do so at the annual Pre-Westminster Fashion Show at this year's Venetian Masquerade themed gala event. There were fancy chihuahuas, King Charles spaniels and poodles aplenty, and they all had their best party clothes on for the occasion. Part of the proceeds raised at the evening's bash went to benefit New York's Animal Care and Control, and there were also lots of adorable rescues strutting their stuff; some were even available for adoption. We made friends with an adorable six-month-old mutt named Colin (we guessed part-shepherd, part-mastiff... maybe?) and almost took the little fella home. His costume? An orange "Adopt Me" vest. Best in show!
