Scenes from the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens Cherry Blossom Festival
Sakura Matsuri--a two-day festival of over 60-plus Japanese cultural events--kicked off in full bloom this weekend at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Japan's "rite of spring" festival featured everything from, traditional Japanese music performances (taiko drumming!) to a Sakura Tattoo Parlor and Cosplay Fashion Show.
