Chocolate and couture collide at the 14th annual Chocolate Show
A Broadway-themed fashion show kicked off the 14th annual Chocolate Show Wednesday with a super sweet (and stylish!) sugar rush at the Metropolitan Pavilion. Clothing designers (Lizzy Gardiner! Althea Harper! William Ivey Long!) and pastry chefs (Flex Mussels' Zac Young, Chocolaterie Maya's Joelle Mahoney!) teamed up to create truly inspired costumes that raised the (chocolate) bar on tasteful cocoa-chic.
Standouts included on over-the-top Morticia Addams ("The Addams Family"), Roxie ("Chicago"), Miss Playbill, Glenda, the Good Witch ("Wicked"), Cosette, ("Les Misérables"), Auntie Mame at the Banquet ("Auntie Mame") and a show-stopping finale look of Chocolate Follie ("Ziegfield Follies").
After the chocolate catwalk, guests were treated to a preview of the Chocolate Show, which featured a diabetic nightmare of chocolate samples, merchandise and displays. New Yorkers can indulge their sweet tooths here until November 13, so get your tickets today!
