The Beardfest & 'Stache Bash | The Bell House
Last night was a celebration of facial hair at The Bell House, and the joint was packed with beardos and the people who love/stalk them. Who knew there was so much to maintaining a lustrous face full of hair, those boys and their conditioner!
Judged by Kari Ferrell, the Hipster Grifter herself, hirsute guests competed for wacky titles, like "Most Lustrous Beard," "Best Handlebar," "Most Sensitive Beard" and "Best Freestyle." We full on approve of the winner of the "Most Sensitive" heat's answer to the pageant question: why is your beard so sensitive? "Because it only grows when I listen to The Smiths or The Cure." Yes!
Let's not forget the walrus-themed "Beard-lesque" from Storybook Burlesque, and as they mingled with the rest of us the room felt so much more fabulous with their sideshow antics and the hose-through-the-nose "free beer" trick. And plenty of snacks on offer from Nachos NY and Robicelli's Cupcakes, because nothing goes better with a mustache than bacon frosting. SEE COMPLETE GALLERY
