The PBR comes to Times Square
Tourists and New Yorkers alike might have thought they had been transported to Pamplona by way of the Wild West as Times Square was taken over by bulls and bull riders yesterday afternoon. In a special bonus round leading up to next week's finals in Las Vegas, the Professional Bull Riders brought their 10 best riders to the Big Apple to compete for fans under the bright lights.
New Mexico rider Travis Briscoe won the event, and the second ranked bull rider in the US, J.B. Mauney came in second, closing in on number one ranked Austin Meier. Meier nearly took the lead, but after judges review it was determined that his elbow touched his bull at the 7.32 second mark, and the ride was disqualified. This is tough stuff folks. Don't miss the PBR when it comes back to Madison Square Garden in January. MORE PHOTOS
