Return of Rococo at Teneleven
Party like it's 1770! Metromix has been seeing more and more glimpses of Baroque-appreciation popping up all over New York, and who doesn't love a good party with a hoop skirt? Shabby chic Return of Rococo returned to Teneleven in Alphabet City last night for an evening of powdered wigs and rouge by candlelight. Up and down Avenue C people passed the diminutive bar, catching glimpses of elaborate wigs and lace (and that was just the boys!) and stopped to ask, "What's going on in there?" Indeed! Guests enjoyed an evening of sideshow entertainment, music and live art as the night unfolded with fire dancing from Anna Leah, nails up noses courtesy of Adam the First Real Man, harpsichord pop Shazz Mammoth and a particularly enjoyable Baroque striptease performed by Adam Schultz.
