We Love the Golden Girls 4 | Stonewall Inn
Welcome to the fourth year of celebrating all things related to Sophia, Blanche, Dorothy and Rose at the We Love the Golden Girls at the Stonewall Inn, and people broke out their best relaxed fit shimmery jumpsuits and the grey wigs for the occasion. For those who found the task of transforming themselves into a Blanche or a Dorothy too challenging, there were makeovers available for free on site, so never use the excuse, "I didn't know what to wear!" not to come out to the next one!
One madeover party-goer introduced us to his guest, and said, "He wasn't expecting to wear a dress tonight, but he looks fabulous in it." The evening was MCed by the delightfully funny and lusciously sassy--and a self-avowed granny-chaser!--The World Famous "Bob," who says her secret to being a successful granny-chaser is always having tissues, hard candy and rosewater spritzer in her bag.
There were skits, there were songs, there was granny shimmying. We overheard someone saying that perhaps the event was getting too big for the packed upstairs lounge at Stonewall, and that "next year they should have it at Roseland or something." Can you imagine nearly 4,000 Golden Girls roaming around Times Square next year?! Where's the camera, ma? SEE FULL GALLERY
