Neighborhood Guide: Battery Park City
(Credit: AbsoluteWade)
Situated on the southern tip of Manhattan, Battery Park City is a residential neighborhood divided into a north and south section. It’s also home to Stuyvesant High School, restaurants and parks, and a sizeable yacht harbor. 9/11 had a major impact on the area, but reduced rents and government subsidies have helped restore residential occupancy.
