The charming and vaguely surreal Elevated Acre—a full acre of lush and open-air faux grass situated three stories up in a Financial District office building—overlooks the East River and offers a lovely if off-beat venue for concerts, movie screenings, private parties, barbeques and anything else that'd be improved with fresh air, grass underfoot and dramatic views of the water (and a intriguing sense of being watched by dozens of faceless officeworkers in the surrounding buildings).
