Telltale signs it’s April again in New York City: Big crowds in Central Park, the return of rooftop parties in Brooklyn, and the Tribeca Film Festival, unspooling at venues across downtown from April 22 to May 3. For almost a decade now, TFF has been drawing the industry’s top talent to the Tribeca 'hood, reaching out to filmmakers, rewarding film lovers and building a relationship with the wider Tribeca community.
This year, the festival has trimmed back the number of official entries, all while expanding its slate of free community events—a festival tailored to fit the needs of audiences coping with this Great Recession.
