'Idiots and Angels"
Credit:Bill Plympton
Despite the popularity of graphic novels, anime and the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim shows, it’s surprising that more animated features aren't released each year. But Bill Plympton’s latest, “Idiots and Angels,” might bring underground animation into the mainstream. The film’s story is a classic : A businessman grows a pair of angel’s wings on his back that compels him to do good things. He tries to remove them, with no success, and along the way he meets a cast of characters graced by Plympton’s inimitable style.
