While fans patiently await a new album, they can get a little Adele fix at the Academy Awards show on Feb. 24 on ABC.

The singer will perform the theme from Skyfall, nominated for an Oscar for best original song. It's the first theme from a James Bond movie to be nominated since 1981's For Your Eyes Only.

"It's an honour to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again," said Adele in a statement. "It's something I've never experienced and probably only ever will once!"

Her performance will be her first U.S. live show since last year's Grammys. It's also the first live performance of Skyfall.

Seth MacFarlane will host this year's Oscars.
