Bob Seger and Kid Rock are getting their acts together. The friends and fellow heartland heroes, who are both preparing spring tours, will team up for a pair of concerts in Minneapolis/St. Paul and Fargo, N.D., on March 15 and 16, respectively.

Seger and Rock have collaborated in various ways since meeting back in 2000. The younger artist inducted Seger into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and appeared on a track on Seger's Face the Promise album; Seger returned the favor by appearing on Rock's Born Free, playing piano on Collide, a duet with Sheryl Crow. Seger and his Silver Bullet Band have also jammed at Rock's rehearsal warehouse.

That group will, of course, accompany Seger on the road, and Rock will travel with his Twisted Brown Trucker Band. Tickets for their dates together go on sale to the general public Jan. 26.
