Eldar Djangirov shares Radiohead cover
Eldar Djangirov is a New York-based jazz pianist.

He's only 26, but New York-based jazz pianist Eldar Djangirov has an impressive resume. He's been nominated for a Grammy, received rave reviews from Dave Brubeck, played at Carnegie Hall and released seven albums, including a live performance recording.

Now he's getting ready to release two albums, simultaneously. For Breakthrough (out April 9), he and his longtime bandmates Armando Gola (bass) and Ludwig Afonso (drums) offer his takes on standards and originals, including Radiohead's Morning Bell. The album also features guest appearances by Joe Locke and Chris Potter.

His second release, the creatively titled Bach/Brahms/Prokofiev (out May 14) is his solo effort, interpreting classical, well, classics by Bach, Brahms and Prokofiev.

Born in the former Soviet Union, Djangirov emigrated to Kansas City when he was 10, and by the age of 12, was already getting critical acclaim. In 2008, he was nominated for a Grammy for his album, Re-Imagination.

Here's a sneak peek at one of the tracks off Breakthrough, a cover of Radiohead's Morning Bell.
